Arshad Warsi said he didn't like Prabhas' portrayal in Kalki 2898 AD.
“Prabhas, I am really sad but, why was he like a joker?" he said during an interview.
Soon after, several celebrities condemned Arshad for his remark.
Director Ajay Bhupathi was among the first ones to call out Arshad for his comment.
Actor Sudheer Babu also reportedly said that there's a way to express an opinion.
Telugu actor Siddhu Jonnalagadda pointed out that Arshad Warsi should have been "mindful."
“This must be the most publicity he has got in his life,” actor Nani lashed out at Warsi.
Kalki director Nag Ashwin said, "Arshad saab (sir) should have chosen his words better."
"Prabhas was the best ever in K2," Nag Ashwin added in his post on X.
Neither Prabhas nor Arshad have reacted to the ongoing controversy.
