The phenomenon of the midnight sun, where the sun remains continuously above the horizon for an extended period during the summer months, is an unforgettable experience.

Svalbard, Norway

Located in the Arctic Circle, Norway, nicknamed ‘The Land Of The Midnight Sun’, is a popular country that doesn’t experience darkness for 4 months. In Svalbard, the sun can stay up from April to late August.

Iceland

Iceland experiences the midnight sun in June. Visit Grimsey Island and Akureyri City in northern Iceland to witness the never-setting sun.

Nunavut, Canada

Located two degrees above the Arctic Circle in the Northwest Territories of Canada, Nunavut witnesses almost two months of uninterrupted sunlight. Moreover, the country basks in total darkness for around 30 consecutive days in the winter.

Barrow, Alaska, US

The beauty of this state, where the sun never sets here from late May to late July, is mesmerising. It encounters continuous sunlight, later compensated by a period known as the polar night lasting from the beginning of November for the subsequent 30 days.

Sweden

Similar to Alaska, parts of Sweden bask in the midnight sun during the summer. One can experience long stretches of daylight from early May to late August. Some regions in the country enjoy constant sunshine for up to six months.
