Millets are widely grown in Asia and Africa. They are small-seeded grasses, which are rich in their nutritional profile. Here are five easy millet cookie recipes to bake at home.
Whip butter and sugar in a bowl until you get a creamy texture. Add eggs, vanilla essence, and baking powder. Add salt, choco chips, and finger millet flour. On a baking sheet, place the dough and cut it accordingly. Bake it and garnish it with chocolate chips or powdered sugar.
Mix in the foxtail millet flour (Kangni) with baking powder and a pinch of salt. Take another bowl and combine almond butter, honey, and an egg. Now, mix in both ingredients. Shape into small balls, flatten them, and bake until golden.
In a bowl, add barnyard millet (Sanwa) with grated coconut, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, mix melted coconut oil with honey and an egg. Blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Place small pieces of dough on the baking sheets and bake.
Add sorghum millet flour (Jowar ka Aata) with ground ginger, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. In another bowl, add cream along with butter, brown sugar, and eggs. Mix everything together. Make round cookie balls, place on the baking sheet, and bake until crispy.
Add oats, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt as per taste, along with pearl millet flour (bajra) in a bowl. Mix cream butter, brown sugar, and egg in another bowl. Add the vanilla extract and mix the dry and wet ingredients. Add nuts and raisins. Make small rounds, place them on baking sheets, and bake.
