5 Ginger-based Recipes For Monsoon

Monsoon season is here and while we enjoy rainy days, boosting the immune system to minimise the risk of infection should be your priority. Here are some ginger-based recipes to enjoy this monsoon.

Ginger Chicken

Blend tomatoes and milk until smooth. Heat oil in a pot and add the pieces of chicken to it. Add salt and stir fry till chicken completely turns pink. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, and coriander seeds powder. Now pour the tomatoes and milk mixture. Add some water and ginger julienne to it. Cook it well.

Neem and Ginger Tea

Boil the water with the neem leaves and ginger for some time. Remove from the gas and add the lemon juice and honey. Stir well. Strain the tea and serve.

Allam Pachadi

This Andhra-style tantalizing chutney recipe is made with ginger cubes, tamarind pulp, and many such ingredients.

Carrot Ginger Soup

Bake some chopped carrots for some time. Bring the stock to a boil, add the ginger and the sprig of thyme. Add onion, garlic, and olive oil to the stock. Remove the ginger and thyme from the stock and add the stock to the pot with the onions and carrots. Bring to boil until carrots are soft. Now, make a puree of the mixture until smooth. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Adrak ka Achaar

Take a jar and add ginger julienne, salt, vinegar, and lemon juice. Set it aside for some time.
