Green bananas are also known as raw bananas. Here are five green banana recipes you can make for dinner.
Cut raw bananas into slices and boil them. Now, cook these boiled slices of raw bananas in a tomato-based gravy with some spices. Cook them well so that they coat with the spices.
This is a spicy, crispy raw banana fried hailing from Andhra Pradesh. Peel and slice the green bananas into thin rounds. Marinate the slices with turmeric, red chilli powder, and salt. Now, fry these slices in oil.
Boil and mash green bananas. Mix the mashed bananas with gram flour, chopped green chillies, ginger, and spices. Shape the mixture into small balls and deep fry them till golden. Cook these fried balls in onion-tomato-based gravy.
This popular South Indian snack can be prepared by slicing the green bananas into thin rounds and dipping them in a batter made of besan, rice flour, turmeric, red chilli powder, and salt. Fry them till golden brown.
Peel and cube the green bananas and cook the banana cubes with turmeric and salt until tender. Grind fresh coconut with green chillies and cumin seeds into a smooth paste. Add this paste to the cooked bananas along with some cooked moong dal. Simmer it for a few minutes.
