From comforting and warm curry to the tangy chaat, here are some hara chana recipes you can enjoy at home.

Roasted Green Chickpeas

Wash, rinse, and spread the unpeeled green chickpeas on a baking sheet. Sprinkle 1-2 tablespoons water and add salt. Broil until brown, stirring occasionally for even roasting.

Green Chickpea Curry

In a pot, cook green chickpeas with salt, coconut, green chilli, garlic, ginger, and a little soda. In a separate pan, fry with jeera, onion, tomato, and spices, then add chana, water, and garam masala. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.

Green Chickpea Falafel

Blend green chickpeas, parsley, cilantro, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, turmeric, salt, and red pepper flakes. Add oats, shape into balls, refrigerate, then scoop and bake until golden brown.

Green Chickpea Kachori

Knead a soft dough with flour, salt, and oil. Crush green chickpeas and make masala roast stuffing with spices. Now, divide dough fill with stuffing, shape into discs, and deep-fry until golden.

Green Chickpea Chaat

Pressure cook overnight soaked chickpeas until done. Simmer them in salted water. Mix with onions, tomatoes, green chillies, coriander, black salt, roasted cumin, chaat masala, red chilli, and lemon juice. Toss everything together and serve.
