In Sanatana Dharma, every day of the week is dedicated to one or the other deities, where they are worshipped.

According to the scriptures, Saturday is dedicated to the worship of Shani Dev, who is called the god of justice.

Observing fast on this day and worshipping Shani Dev is considered to have a lot of significance. Considering the importance of this auspicious occasion, many things are prohibited on this day.

Purchasing some things can make Shani Dev angry. This can also increase the problems in the life of people.

Here are the five products that shouldn't be purchased on a Saturday.

People should not purchase salt on Saturday. According to astrology, doing this can have a negative impact, and may infuriate Shani Dev. It is also believed that buying salt on Saturday increases debt. It also leads to financial losses.

Purchasing objects made of iron is also believed to be inauspicious. If you have purchased an item made with iron, do not bring it home on Saturday. Bring it home the next day which will ensure the well-being of the family members.

Buying scissors on Saturday is also considered to be a bad omen. According to popular beliefs, it leads to fights with family members and friends.

Mustard oil is offered to the Shani Dev as a part of the puja rituals on Saturday. It should, however, be avoided purchasing on this day. This may lead to a lot of health-related ailments in the house.

Buying black-coloured clothes, shoes, slippers, and coal on this day is also considered inauspicious. Apart from this, buying a broom is also not considered to be an auspicious work.
