From the baked whole wheat puri to the mawa kachori, here's a look at some of the best Rajasthani snacks to try at home this monsoon season.
Baked Whole Wheat Puri
Combine whole wheat flour, coriander-cumin seed powder, chilli powder, and turmeric. After kneading, roll into tiny circles, prick with a fork, and bake to perfection.
Mawa Kachori
The dough is prepared with flour and ghee, then stuffed with the mawa mixture, shaped into discs, and fried until golden brown. They are then dipped in sugar syrup and garnished with chopped nuts.
Chatpata Rings
Prepare a dough with warm water, salt, plain flour, and oil. Take a small portion of the dough, roll it out, cut into strips, and form into rings. Deep fry these rings and season them with chaat masala.
Sweet Shakarpara
Prepare a dough with maida, sugar, water, rava, cardamom powder, ghee, and salt. Roll it out thick, cut it into diamond shapes, and deep-fried until golden and crisp.
Dhuska
Soak chana dal, urad dal, and rice. Make a paste of these soaked ingredients along with green chilies and ginger. Mix it with cumin seeds, asafoetida, turmeric powder, and salt. Now, fry this batter into small pancakes.
