5 Ways To Include Boiled Kala Chana In Your Diet

From snacks and salads to curries and pulao, here are some ways to include boiled black chana in your diet.

Kala Chana Chaat

Combine boiled kala chana with chopped onions, tomatoes, green chilies, and coriander leaves. Add chaat masala, cumin powder, and a squeeze of lemon juice.

Kala Chana Curry

Saute onions, tomatoes, ginger, and garlic until soft. Add boiled kala chana along with spices like turmeric, cumin, coriander, and garam masala. Let it simmer until the flavours meld together. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve.

Kala chana pulao

Saute onions, tomatoes, bay leaf, cloves, and cinnamon in a pressure cooker. Add rice, boiled kala chana, and some water. Cook it for 3-4 whistles.

Kala Chana Salad

Mix boiled kala chana with diced cucumbers, bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, and red onions. Dress it with olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.

Kala Chana Sundal

Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, dried red chilies, and curry leaves. Add boiled kala chana and sauté for a few minutes. Sprinkle some grated coconut and salt, mix well, and serve.
