#1 50 wickets in calendar year: Ashwin has picked up 50 wickets in a calendar year  a record four times 

#2 Scoring ton and taking five-wicket haul in same match: Ashwin is the only Indian to have done so three times 

#3 Player of the Match awards: R Ashwin is the fourth best Indian as far as POTM awards in Tests is concerned. He has nine of those, behind Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Virat Kohli 

#4 Five wicket and ten wicket hauls: Ashwin has joined Anil Kumble for most five wicket hauls (35) and 10-wicket hauls (8) for India in Tests 

#5 Fastest to landmark wickets: Ashwin is the fastest Indian to reach 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350, 400, 450 and 500 Test wickets 

#6 Oldest Indian: At 37 years and 17 days, Ashwin will become the oldest Indian to receive his 100th Test cap
