6 Ways To Replant Aloe Vera Plants with Roots

Producer:  Riya Ashok

Spring or early summer is the best time to replant Aloe Vera, as this is when they are entering their active growing phase.

Select a new pot that is slightly larger than the current one and has drainage holes at the bottom to prevent overwatering.

Water the Aloe Vera a few days before replanting to make the soil more pliable and to reduce stress on the plant.

Carefully remove the Aloe Vera from its current pot. Tip the pot on its side and slide the plant out, supporting the base of the plant with your hand.

Examine the roots for any signs of rot or disease. Trim away any damaged or rotting roots using clean, sharp scissors or pruning shears.

Allow the roots to air dry for a day or two. This helps to promote healing and reduces the risk of infections when placed in the new soil.
