8 Indian Films at Cannes 2024

The 77th Cannes Film Festival is starting on May 14, 2024. Many films from India have been selected for different sections. Here are a few of them.

Directed by Payal Kapadia, this is the first Indian film to compete for the Palme d'Or award at the Cannes Film Festival after around 30 years.

All We Imagine As Light

Written and directed by Suri, this film is shrouded in mystery. Shahana Goswami portrays Santosh, a young widow who inherits her husband's role as a police constable in the rural region of North India.

Shyam Benegal returns to Cannes in 2024 with Manthan. Featuring Smita Patil, Naseeruddin Shah, Girish Karnad, and Amrish Puri, it was inspired by the pioneering milk cooperative movement led by Verghese Kurien.
