Although the east is the ideal orientation for plants, you may also put them on a balcony or next to a window towards the north or north-east.

The finest results are always obtained when plants are kept in odd numbers, such as one, three, or five, in accordance with the principles of Vastu Shastra.

Give the Tulsi plant water from a kalash. Hold the kalash with both hands at all times.

Make sure you only set your Tulsi plant in the north or northeast direction when you bring it home, as per Vastu advice.

Vastu Shastra dictates that one should not place a plant in the direction of Agni, the fire deity, which is the southeast.

Do not plant Tulsi near thorny bushes or cactus plants as they are believed to create negative energy around the area.

Lastly, provide regular care and attention to the Tulsi plant.
