9 new Vande Bharat trains allocated: Jaipur, Udaipur, Indore to get them soon

9 new Vande Bharat trains have been manufactured at the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai and allocated to various zones. The routes for these trains are yet to be announced by the Ministry.

Vande Bharat Trains

Two Vande Bharat trains were flagged off on July 7. No new trains have been introduced since then.

New Trains

Nine trains have left the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai, where these Vande Bharat Express are manufactured.

Southern Railways

Of these nine trains, the highest (three) have been allocated to the Southern Railways.

New Allocations

One new Vande Bhart has been allocated to North Western, South Central, East Coast Railway and East Central each.

25 Trains Running

As of date, 25 Vande Bharat trains are running, with the highest four in the Northern Zone.

Eight Coach Trains

These (nine) are all eight coach trains, officials aware of the matter told News18.

Tentative Routes

Ministry yet to announce routes. Sources say two trains could be from Jaipur - Jaipur-Indore and Jaipur-Udaipur.

Jaipur-Indore

Official says Jaipur-Indore Vande Bharat will pass through Neemuch.

Minister’s Visit

Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw visited Udaipur and Neemuch railway stations recently.

Poll-bound States

Rajasthan got first Vande Bharat in April (Ajmer-Delhi) and another in July (Jodhpur-Sabarmati). Madhya Pradesh will also get a fresh train.

East Coast Railway

One train allocated to East Coast Railway likely to run in Odisha’s Puri and Rourkela.

East Central Railways

One train assigned to East Central Railways could cater to Patna-Howrah route with stoppages at Jamtara and Asansol.

Southern Railways

Route of four Vande Bharat, including three assigned to Southern Railways, yet to be finalised.

Operational Trains

Of 25 operational Vande Bharat trains, six from Delhi and five for Maharashtra with four operational from Mumbai.
