9 simple exercises to improve your eyesight

Pencil Push-ups Hold a pencil at arm's length, between the eyes. Bring the pencil closer very slowly and stop when you see a double image of the pencil. Take the pencil to the original place and repeat at least 20 times in a day.

Around the world Sit comfortably. Look straight for three seconds. Look down for three seconds. Look ahead for three seconds. And look to your left and right each for three seconds.

Near and Far Focusing Hold your thumb out in front of you, about 10 inches away. Focus on your thumb for a few seconds. Then, focus on an object in the distance. Alternate between focusing on your thumb and the distant object.

Figure 8 Imagine a big 8 in front of you. Slowly and evenly trace the symbol 8 with your eyes. Repeat in the opposite direction.

Eye Roll Roll your eyes in a circular motion both clockwise and counterclockwise. Repeat the action several times.

Zooming Hold your thumb out in front of you, about 10 inches away. Spend a few seconds concentrating on it. Then, fix your gaze on an object in the distant. Alternate between focusing on your thumb and the distant object.

Palming Warm your hands by rubbing them together. Close your eyes and place the palms of your hands on each cheekbone.

Blinking Blink slowly to recover the tear film. Close your eyes for two seconds, then open them again. Repeat.

Massage Massage your eyelids and the muscles above your brows with your fingertips. This can assist to alleviate tension and enhance blood flow to the eyes.
