They won the game by 125 runs.
Afghanistan pacer Fazalhaq Farooqi claimed a five-wicket haul.
Batting first, Afghanistan posted 183 runs losing 5 wickets.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz was Afghanistan’s highest scorer (76 off 45 balls).
Gurabaz was dropped off a no-ball in the 14th over which produced 25 runs.
Ibrahim Zadran also contributed significantly scoring 70 runs in 46 deliveries.
In reply, Uganda were bowled out for 58 in 16 overs.
Farooqi scripted sensational figures of 5/9 in his four overs.
Afghanistan will next face New Zealand on Saturday, June 8.
