USWNT legend Alex Morgan has announced her retirement from international football.

In her 14-year-long career, the striker has created several iconic moments.

She scored her maiden international goal on October 6, 2010, against China.

In 2011, Morgan came off the bench to score in a World Cup final that Japan ended up winning.

Morgan broke the internet in 2012 after scoring the Olympic semi-final winner against Canada.

In 2015, she fought back a knee injury to win her first World Cup crown with the USWNT.

On April 5, 2019, Morgan scored her 100th goal for the USWNT against Australia.

At the time she was only the 7th US woman to reach the landmark.

With 6 goals, Morgan won the 2019 World Cup and the Silver Boot, along with, Megan Rapinoe.
