Apple Blocks iMessage App For Android:
Here's Why
Android users were able to access iMessage thanks to
Beeper Mini app.
The app was able to intercept Apple's network and divert the messages to Android.
Apple has reportedly blocked their access to its network, citing security reasons.
Apple has always talked about user privacy and for that it has blocked third-party access on iOS.
But Beeper Mini used a loophole to fool the iOS server thinking it is an iOS device.
Apple is clearly aware of the security challenges of letting other platforms use iMessage.
Apple has explained that it will continue to block these services in the future as well.
Beeper Mini wasn't free and that's why this shut down feels rather acceptable from Apple.
The company was charging Rs 190 per month to use the iMessage app if you have an Android phone.
