Apple’s M-Series Chipsets Gets A New Rival

Qualcomm has unveiled Snapdragon X Elite, a chipset for PCs.

It is based on 4nm architecture; said to get “multiple days” of battery life.

Snapdragon X Elite gets a 12-core Oryon CPU.

It also allows generative AI LLM models with over 13 billion parameter.

The chipset also gets an Adreno GPU that supports 4.6 teraflops of power.

It supports 4K displays with up to a 120Hz refresh rate.

OEMs can use a maximum of 64GB LPDDR5X memory.

For connectivity, it gets the Snapdragon X65 5G Modem-RF system.

Devices with the Snapdragon X Elite will ship in mid 2024.
