The RS 457 features sharp lines, three-pot LED headlamp, and three colour options that take cues from the bigger RS 660.
The motorcycle has a committed riding triangle with a lightweight subframe and a perimeter frame for agility and stability.
The RS 457 is powered by a 457 cc liquid-cooled DOHC mill that produces 47 bhp and 48 Nm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The motorcycle comes with a 5-inch colour TFT display that offers three riding modes, traction control, ABS, and optional quick-shifter.
The RS 457 has a 41 mm USD fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear, both with preload adjustment and decent travel.
The motorcycle employs a 320 mm disc with a Bybre radial caliper at the front and a 220 mm disc with a floating caliper at the rear.
The RS 457 rides on 17-inch wheels shod with 110/70 (F) and 150/60 ® section tyres from TVS Eurogrip for optimum grip and performance.
RS 457 is expected to be priced attractively. It will compete with KTM RC 390, Kawasaki Ninja 400 and Yamaha YZF-R3.
RS 457 can be pre-booked online or at the nearest Aprilia dealership. The deliveries are likely to commence soon after the launch.
