Aprilia India has launched ‘RS 457’, a new sub-500cc supersport bike that features a full fairing, striking design and a potent powertrain. The motorcycle comes with a host of features and rider aids.

Inspired by the RS 660

The RS 457 features sharp lines, three-pot LED headlamp, and three colour options that take cues from the bigger RS 660.

Sporty riding stance

The motorcycle has a committed riding triangle with a lightweight subframe and a perimeter frame for agility and stability.

New parallel-twin engine

The RS 457 is powered by a 457 cc liquid-cooled DOHC mill that produces 47 bhp and 48 Nm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

Feature-rich instrumentation

The motorcycle comes with a 5-inch colour TFT display that offers three riding modes, traction control, ABS, and optional quick-shifter.

Adjustable suspension setup

The RS 457 has a 41 mm USD fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear, both with preload adjustment and decent travel.

Powerful braking

The motorcycle employs a 320 mm disc with a Bybre radial caliper at the front and a 220 mm disc with a floating caliper at the rear.

TVS Eurogrip tyres

The RS 457 rides on 17-inch wheels shod with 110/70 (F) and 150/60 ® section tyres from TVS Eurogrip for optimum grip and performance.

Expected pricing

RS 457 is expected to be priced attractively. It will compete with KTM RC 390, Kawasaki Ninja 400 and Yamaha YZF-R3.

Pre-bookings open

RS 457 can be pre-booked online or at the nearest Aprilia dealership. The deliveries are likely to commence soon after the launch.
