Authentic Kerala Style Puttu Recipe

Ingredients: 1 cup puttu flour, 1/3 cup water, 1/3 tsp salt, ½ cup coconut

For the flour, mix puttu flour with salt in a bowl.

Add water and make a moist dough with crumbly texture.

Take a puttu steamer and layer with 2 tbsp fresh grated coconut.

Layer with 3 tbsp puttu flour, 2 tbsp coconut, 3 tbsp puttu flour, and finally 2 tbsp coconut.

Close the tube and steam for 5 minutes.

Carefully open the tube and push the puttu with a wooden ladle. Serve hot with kadala curry.
