Using plants as home décor is popular for adding freshness and vibrancy. But, caution & research are essential before bringing any plant into your home, especially if you have children or pets who could accidentally ingest or touch them. Take a look at plants you should avoid keeping at home.
The money plant sap, although not highly toxic, can cause skin irritation and allergic reactions in some people, leading to redness, itching, and irritation upon contact.

Oleander is toxic, with compounds like oleandrin and nerioside, which are highly poisonous if ingested or even touched, causing skin irritation.

Castor bean plants contain ricin, a deadly protein. Ingesting a few seeds can be lethal, and contact with the plant's leaves or seeds can cause severe irritation.

Jimsonweed, or Datura, contains tropane alkaloids like atropine, scopolamine, and hyoscyamine. Ingesting any part of it can cause hallucinations, delirium, seizures, and even death.
