Ahead of the Ram Mandir inauguration on January 22, Ayodhya Railway Station has been renamed to ‘Ayodhya Dham Junction.’
The Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the grand railway station and Maryada Purushottam Shriram International Airport on December 30, 2023.
PM Modi will also oversee the preparations done in Ayodhya for the grand inauguration of Ram Mandir on January 22, 2024.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is also reviewing the preparations for the inaugural ceremony of the Ayodhya Ram temple.
The railway station is spread across an 11,000 sqm area. The central dome of the Ayodhya Dham Junction’s building is inspired by Lord Ram’s ‘mukut’ (crown).
The two ‘hikhars’ on the two-storey building are inspired by the Janaki temple. There are seven ‘mandapas’ between the ‘shikhar’.
The design of the Ayodhya Dham railway station allows abundant natural light.
For water efficiency, the station has a provision for rainwater harvesting.
The narrow lane connecting the main station terminal with the highway and the temple will be a heritage path.
