January 2, 2025

Mumbai’s Ayush Mhatre set a world record for the youngest player to score 150-plus in List A cricket.

He achieved this feat during a Vijay Hazare Trophy game against Nagaland.

Mhatre hit 11 sixes and 15 fours to score 181 off 117 balls.

Mhatre succeeded in surpassing Yashasvi Jaiswal’s achievement.

Mhatre broke the record at the age of 17 years and 168 days.

The previous record was set by Jaiswal at 17 years and 291 days.

Jaiswal had achieved the milestone while playing for Mumbai against Jharkhand in 2019.

Mhatre made his debut for Mumbai earlier this season.

He was a part of Mumbai's Irani Cup-winning side.

On his Ranji Trophy debut, Mhatre scored a fine 71-ball 52.
