BAFTA 2024 was a night of triumph for ‘Oppenheimer’, bagging seven awards including Best Film and Best Director. ‘Poor Things’ and ‘The Zone of Interest’ also made their mark.

Robert Downey Jr. and Da’Vine Joy Randolph were recognised as the best supporting actor and actress for their roles in “Oppenheimer” and “The Holdovers” respectively.

The original screenplay award went to Justine Triet and Arthur Harari for “Anatomy of a Fall”.

“The Zone of Interest” was awarded the best film not in the English language.

The best documentary award was given to “20 Days in Mariupol”.

The outstanding British Debut was awarded to Savannah Leaf, Shirley O’Connor, and Medb Riordan for "Earth Mama”.

The best adapted screenplay award went to Cord Jefferson for "American Fiction”.

The best animated film was "The Boy and the Heron” and the best British short animation was "Crab Day”.
