Bajaj Auto, which introduced India's first CNG three-wheeler 25 years ago, on Friday, July 5, 2024 unveiled the world's first CNG motorcycle, the 'Freedom 125', on Friday, July 5, 2024.
The new CNG motorcycle, according to Rajiv Bajaj, the MD of Bajaj Auto, symbolises freedom from petroleum imports, high fuel costs, and range anxiety. Take a look at the price and features of 'Freedom 125'.
Freedom 125 Drum variant: ₹95,000
Freedom 125 Drum LED variant: ₹1,05,000
Freedom 125 Disc LED variant: ₹1,10,000
The Freedom 125 CNG bike features a round LED headlight, an extended seat for added comfort, and a toggle switch that allows riders to easily switch between petrol and CNG.
The bike, according to company, achieves 213 km/kg on CNG, with a total range of 330 km on combined petrol and CNG, and offers 9.5 hp and 9.7 Nm of torque.
The petrol tank capacity of two litres stands out, primarily functioning as reserve fuel, in contrast to typical commuter bikes that usually have larger capacities ranging from 10 to 12 litres.
Bookings for the Freedom 125 will be immediately available in Maharashtra and Gujarat, and it is expected to be available all over India by early next quarter.
