The Indian Railways recently announced the "Sri Rameshwaram-Tirupati: Dakshin Yatra" Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train.
Starting from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus on May 23, 2023, the Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train is set to embark on its journey. It will travel for a duration of 10 days & conclude its tour by returning to CSMT on June 2.
The train offers passengers a remarkable chance to delve into the rich cultural, historical, & spiritual heritage of the iconic destinations.
With its departure from CSMT, the train will navigate a scenic route, encompassing prominent boarding stations such as Thane, Kalyan, Karjat, Lonavala, Pune, Daund, Kurduwadi, Solapur, & Kalaburagi.
The tour itinerary will encompass captivating visits to a variety of enchanting destinations such as Mysuru, Bengaluru, Kanyakumari, Thiruvananthapuram, Rameshwaram, Madurai, & Tirupati.
During the return journey, the train will traverse back through picturesque landscapes, passing by de-boarding stations including Kalaburagi, Solapur, Kurduwadi, Daund, Pune, Lonavala, Karjat, Kalyan, & Thane.
The well-equipped train includes one AC-2 Tier, three AC-3 Tier, & seven Sleeper Class coaches, ensuring a comfortable journey for all passengers.
The train includes a dedicated pantry car, ensuring a steady supply of food & beverages, & two generator coaches to ensure uninterrupted power supply throughout the journey, ensuring that passengers have access to all the necessary facilities.
The Bharat Gaurav Tourist Trains aims to encourage citizens to explore the rich heritage and diverse landscapes of India.
The initiative by IRCTC is expected to boost domestic tourism & strengthen the cultural bonds between different regions of the country.
