A rare Black Panther was spotted in Madhya Pradesh's Pench Tiger Reserve after 2 years.

Last time, a black panther, fondly referred to as ‘Bagheera’ inspired by the Jungle Book, was spotted in the Pench Tiger Reserve in July 2020.

Tourists spotted the 9-month-old Black Panther cub with its mother on trees, mountains & other areas of the Pench Tiger Reserve's Telia beat, Khawasa forest ranger Rahul Upadhyaya told PTI.

The Black Panther cub spotted now and the feline seen 2 years ago were born to the same mother, said Upadhyaya.

The feline, which is superfast & highly agile, is attracting wildlife enthusiasts from across the country.

Tourists from West Bengal, Nashik, Mumbai & many other parts of Maharashtra are flocking  to catch a glimpse of the rare feline, also referred to as Ghost of the Jungle, because of its color & fiery eyes.

Pench Tiger Reserve also shared a compilation of photos & video on Twitter.
