Braj Holi 2024: Things You Shouldn't Miss

Holi, the festival of colours, is marked with much pomp and show.

Braj Ki Holi is a 10-day-long festvity observed in Mathura, Vrindavan, Barsana, Nandgaon and Baldeo.

These regions are associated with the childhood of Lord Krishna.

This year, the Braj Holi will start on March 17 and conclude on March 26.

The Braj Holi will begin with'‘Laddu Holi’ at Radha Rani Temple in Barsana.

Barsana's Lathmar Holi, as the name suggest, involves sticks.

The Phoolwali Holi at Banke Bihari Temple is an iconic part of Braj Holi.

In 2023, widows staying in Vrindavan celebrated Holi at the Radha Gopinath Temple.

This year too, they will mark the special day on March 25.

On March 24, the Braj region will celebrate Holika Dhanan, by lighting a bonfire.

The whole country will celebrate the ‘Rang Wali Holi’ on March 25.

Lastly, Huranga Holi is celebrated at Baldeo, a village located about 30 km from Mathura.
