BTS, also known as Bangtan Sonyeondan, is a K-pop supergroup that debuted in 2013 and will celebrate its 10th anniversary since its debut, marking a decade of music and impact.
To mark this occasion, the city of Seoul is turning purple, the official colour of BTS and their fans, and hosting various events and activities as part of BTS Festa 2023.
BTS Festa is an annual celebration of their anniversary that involves various events and activities for the fans, also known as ARMYs.
This year, BTS Festa will run from June 12 to June 25, with the slogan “BTS Presents Everywhere”.
One of the highlights of this year’s Festa is the collaboration with the Seoul Metropolitan Government to turn the city purple, which is the official colour of BTS and ARMYs.
Purple signifies trust, love and loyalty between BTS and their fans, as well as their hope for a better future.
Seoul’s major landmarks, including Some Sevit, N Seoul Tower, Seoul City Hall, Dongdaemun Design Plaza, and the World Cup Bridge will light up in purple hues during the Festa period.
The Han River, one of the most popular spots in Seoul, will also be covered with purple lights, creating a stunning view for visitors and residents.
Another event will be held in Yeouido, western Seoul, on June 17, which will be open to the public and showcase BTS’s achievements and messages.
“Take Two” is expected to be a song that reflects on their journey so far and expresses their gratitude to their fans for their support and love.
BTS will also share a special video chat where they will talk about their bond, their aspirations and their plans as a group and as individuals.
BTS Festa is one of the most awaited times for ARMYs around the world, who join the celebration online and offline through various platforms and channels.
