Same-sex marriage is legal in 34 countries worldwide. This includes nations like Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Denmark, Ecuador, Finland, France and Germany.
Iceland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, the UK, the USA and Uruguay have also legalised it.
The Supreme Court of India is set to deliver a landmark judgment on the legality of same-sex marriage in the country.
The judgment will be pronounced by a five-judge bench, headed by the Chief Justice of India, DY Chandrachud.
