Amazon’s Fire TV has released its Streaming Trends Report for 2023. The report captures aggregated insights on how Indian viewers consumed content on their Fire TV devices in 2023. Here are some key findings.

Cricket was one of the most-streamed content in 2023 with Maharashtra, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu streaming more hours than other states.
Comedy, thriller, and drama were some of the most-popular genres of content watched by Fire TV users.
Pathan, Bawaal, Rocky aur Rani, Jailer, Drishyam 2, Pippa, and Mast Mein Rehne Ka were some of the most-watched movies on Prime Video.
Farzi, Dahaad, Jubilee, and Made In heaven were most-popular Prime Video original series streamed by Fire TV users.
80% of Fire TV users used Alexa to search content with Tarak Mehta ka Ulta Chashma, Bigg Boss, Anupama, Ramayan, and CID being the most voice-searched Indian titles.
Cocomelon, Peppa Pig, and Chhota Bheem were the most-searched kids content through Fire TV.
Indian households spent around four hours per day on their Fire TV devices. A family in Delhi streamed 5.4 hours every day in 2023, the highest by any Indian household through Fire TV.
One in every three Fire TV users played music through Amazon Music, Spotify, and other music apps.

Fire TV witnessed a 50% increase in viewership for F1 races compared to last year.

Kids’ apps such as YouTube Kids, ChuChu TV, HappyKids saw approximately 31% increase in monthly streaming hours per customer.

Free streaming apps such as YouTube, miniTV, MX Player saw approximately 23% year-over-year increase in streaming hours.
