Portugal football star Cristiano Ronaldo recently achieved the feat of having 1 billion followers on social media
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner thus became the first person to do so. Ronaldo had recently started his own YouTube channel
Ronaldo has 639mn Instagram followers, 60.6mn YouTube subscribers, 113mn X followers and 170mn followers on Facebook
The 39 year-old also has 9.4 mn followers on Kuaishou and 7.5 mn on Weibo, with these two being largely Chinese platforms
It took only 90 minutes for the former Real Madrid star to surpass 1 million subscribers on YouTube
“From the streets of Madeira to the biggest stages in the world, I’ve always played for my family and for you, and now 1 billion of us stand together," the Al-Nassr striker wrote on X
Ronaldo scored his 900th career goal during Portugal's Nations League match against Croatia
Ronaldo has scored 131 goals for Portugal till date
