Dates and Apple Kheer Recipe

This healthy kheer contains the goodness
of apples, dates, dry fruits, and vermicelli. Try this dates and apple kheer recipe at home.
Ingredients
Boiled milk
- 1 litre
Roasted vermicelli - 1/2 cup
Apple, peeled/grated - 1
Dates (khajur) - 8
Almonds - 8
Pistachios, chopped - 1 tbsp
Raisins - 1 tbsp
Saffron - A few strands
Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
Ghee - 1 tbsp
Water - 1 cup
Sugar - 1 tbsp

Step 1
Soak almonds in warm water. Later, remove their peel, slice them, and set aside. Soak the saffron in ½ cup warm milk and keep ready.

Add the water, apple, dates, and sugar in a kadhai. Boil for 10 minutes.

In a similar vessel, heat the ghee and roast the almonds, pistachios as well as raisins. Remove them from the heat and keep aside.

Add the vermicelli and saute for 2-3 minutes. Add milk and keep it stirring.

Add the apple-date mixture to the milk and stir well. Add the soaked saffron or cardamom powder to the vessel.

Add the roasted dry fruits to the milk and mix. Cook it for some time.

Serve it hot or you can refrigerate it and enjoy it chilled later on.
