The World Economic Forum’s Open Forum in Davos will be from January 15-19, 2024. The local Swiss Alpine School in the heart of Davos will host the event.
Founded by Klaus Schwab in 1971, the WEF fosters global cooperation on various matters. Davos has become a synonym for the world’s elite through the WEF.
Various Indian stalls, brands, and companies will represent India at Davos.
Prominent Indian names include Gautam Adani, Mukesh Ambani, and others.
Union ministers Ashwini Vaishnaw, Smriti Irani, and Hardeep Singh Puri are expected.
Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde and Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah will likely attend.
Heads of SBI, NTPC, and Indian Oil are expected to attend the five-day event.
This year’s theme is Rebuilding Trust, which aims to reinforce the fundamental principles of transparency, consistency and accountability among leaders.
AI’s hypergrowth and other themes will take center stage at the discussions.
Over 2,700 leaders from 130 countries attended the 2023 WEF meet.
Over 100 countries and all major international organisations are expected to attend.
For the first time, the Climate Hub, open to everyone during the Annual Meeting, is being hosted by the local NGO Greenup in partnership with the city of Davos.
