Decadent  Chocolate Cake Recipe

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.

In a bowl, whisk 1¾ cups all-purpose flour, 1¾ cups sugar, ¾ cup cocoa powder, 1½ tsp baking powder, and 1½ tsp baking soda.

Add 2 large eggs, 1 cup whole milk, ½ cup vegetable oil, and 2 tsp vanilla extract to the dry ingredients.

Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes, then stir in 1 cup boiling water.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.

For the frosting, beat ½ cup softened butter, 2/3 cup cocoa powder, 3 cups powdered sugar, 1/3 cup whole milk, and 1 tsp vanilla extract until smooth.

Frost the cake once cooled and decorate as desired.
