Malpua is a pancake-like Indian dessert from North India which is usually prepared on festivals and special occasions. Try this too-yummy paneer malpura recipe at home.
Ingredients for malpua Paneer - 100 gm Khoya - 3 tbsps Milk - 8 tsp Powdered sugar - 1 tsp Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp Maida - 2 tbsp Ghee - 1 cup
Ingredients for sugar syrup Sugar - 1 cup Water - 1 cup Saffron - 1/4 tsp Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp Dry fruits - 1 tsp
Step 1 To prepare malpuas, make a batter of paneer pieces, khoya, and 4 tsp milk in a mixer grinder. Beat it enough to get a thick smooth batter.
Step 2 Pour the batter into a bowl and add powdered sugar, cardamom powder, and maida. Add more milk if required and beat it well.
Step 3 Now, take a pan heat ghee to make malpuas. Drop about a tablespoon of the batter into it and cook until light brown on both sides.
Step 4 To prepare sugar syrup, take a pan and add sugar and water. Let the sugar dissolve. Add saffron for fragrance and mix well.
Step 5 Add cardamom powder and dry fruits. Mix and boil it for a thick and smooth syrup. Immerse malpuas in sugar syrup for 10-15 minutes.
Step 6 Once, malpua soaks the syrup, serve them hot with dry fruits.
