Summer is the perfect time to cool down with refreshing, homemade beverages.
Here's an easy summer cooler recipe of mango-chilli lemonade.
1 ripe mango, peeled and diced 1-2 teaspoons of sugar (adjust to taste, depending on the sweetness of the mango) 1 teaspoon sun dried red chilli flakes Juice of 1 lemon 40 ml soda Ice cubes Mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Place the diced mango in a blender along with sugar, red chili flakes and mint.
Blend until smooth. If the mixture is too thick, you can add a little water to help it blend smoothly.
Once the mango mixture is smooth, pour it through a fine-mesh strainer into a pitcher or directly into the shaker, remove any fibres or chunks.
Add the lemon juice to the strained mango puree and add some ice.
Add soda and shake well.
Strain directly into glass, garnish and serve.
