Delicious Masala Dosa Recipe To Try at Home

Ingredients    2 cups White rice   1/2 cup Urad dal   1/2 cup Refined oil   1/2 tsp Fenugreek seeds   1/2 kg Boiled potatoes    2 medium Chopped green chillies    1 tbsp Mustard seeds    1/2 4 Teaspoons turmeric    2 cups Chopped onion   10 Curry leaves    Salt as per taste

The first step is to get the batter ready. To do this, wash the rice and urad dal and soak them for six to eight hours in different containers. After the rice and urad dal are soaked well, grind them in separate mixers.

Grind fenugreek and add it to rice. Next, combine the two component batter in a large container and season with salt. After that, store it overnight.

To prepare the filling, heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a thick bottomed pan and let the mustard seeds crackle. Then add chopped onion, curry leaves, green chillies and fry it well. Then, add a pinch of salt and turmeric powder to it and mix well.

Now, take chopped potatoes and add them to the roasted onions and mix well. Slowly add water to the mixture and let the potatoes boil for about 5 minutes. When the mixture becomes slightly thick, turn off the gas.

Take a dosa pan now and heat it over a low flame. Apply one teaspoon of oil to the dosa to prepare it.

The batter should be poured into the hot pan and spread out in a circular motion. Reduce the flame, coat the dosa’s edges with a few drops of oil, and then top with two tablespoons of filling when the edges start to brown.

Fold the dosa now to make it crisp. Serve with coconut chutney and sambar.
