Delicious Mushroom Walnut Biryani Recipe For Ramadan 2025

Ingredients

1 box mushrooms 20 g of walnuts (soaked for 2 hours) Masalas (1.5 tsp chilli powder, 1.5 tsp coriander powder, 1 tsp cumin powder, 1 tsp garam masala, 1 tsp kasuri methi, 1 onion fried to crisp, salt as per taste) 1 handful mint leaves 1 handful coriander leaves 2-3 tsp oil 1 cup basmati rice 1.5 ltrs water 1 bay leaf 1 cinnamon stick 2-3 cardamom 2 cloves 1 tbsp salt

Step 1

Mix the ingredients together and marinate the mushrooms and walnuts for 30 minutes.

Wash & soak the rice, add spices to water and let it boil. Now add the rice and cook it until it’s 50% done.

In a heavy bottom pan, add oil and the marinate. Cook on a low flame until the oil separates.

Now add the half cooked rice on top of it, with 1/4th cup water, add saffron water, mint leaves and a pinch of garam masala.

Cover and cook on low flame for 5-6 minutes.

Switch off the flame and let it rest for another 5-10 minutes before serving.
