Delicious Tomato Rasam Recipe

Ingredients: 4 tomatoes, 1 tbsp tamarind paste, 1 tsp cumin seeds, 1 tsp black pepper, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 2-3 garlic cloves

Ingredients: 1 tbsp ghee, 1 tsp mustard seeds, asafoetida, Curry leaves, Coriander leaves, salt, 3 cups water

Boil tomatoes and peel off the skin. Mash or blend into a puree.

In a bowl, mix tamarind paste with water. Add turmeric and salt.

Grind cumin seeds and black pepper into a coarse powder.

Heat ghee in a pan. Add mustard seeds, crushed garlic, and asafoetida.

Add curry leaves and the ground cumin-pepper mix.

Pour in the tomato puree and tamarind mixture. Stir well.

Let it simmer for 10-15 minutes. Garnish with coriander leaves.

Serve hot with rice.
