Ducati introduces the Hypermotard 698 Mono in India at ₹16.50 lakh. The price surpasses expectations, being ₹50,000 more than the Hypermotard 950 RVE.
The Hypermotard 698 Mono features a 659cc, liquid-cooled engine, producing 77.5bhp and 63Nm, making it the most powerful single-cylinder motorcycle globally.
Equipped with a six-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch, the bike also offers an optional quickshifter for enhanced performance.
Inspired by the Hypermotard 950, the bike has a similar LED headlight, long beak, slim fuel tank, and neatly integrated side and tail sections.
In true Ducati Hypermotard fashion, the twin exhaust pipes are located just under the tailpiece, enhancing its aggressive look.
The bike features a steel trellis frame attached to a steel-tube subframe and an aluminium swingarm, ensuring a sturdy and reliable structure.
The suspension system includes an adjustable Marzocchi USD fork and a Sachs monoshock, providing a smooth and controlled ride.
For superior braking performance, the Hypermotard 698 Mono is equipped with Brembo M4.32 brake calipers at the front and a 330mm disc.
Ducati includes three power modes, cornering ABS, four ride modes, traction control, and wheelie control, accessible via a 3.8-inch LCD instrument cluster.
While the standard model is available now, the RVE variant with unique graphics and a standard quickshifter is set to arrive later.
Bookings for the Hypermotard 698 Mono have commenced, with deliveries expected to begin by the end of July.
