The elevated road is 9 kilometres long and 34 metres wide.
The expressway has been built using two lakh tonnes of steel.
The route offers direct connectivity to Delhi Airport and Gurugram Bypass.
Dwarka Expressway was built at a cost of approximately Rs 9,000 crore.
A 500-meter section of tunnel near the airport is designed to be blast-proof.
The Haryana stretch of the expressway was built at a cost of roughly Rs 4,100 crore.
During the construction, at least 1,200 trees were re-transplanted.
