Producer: Swati Chaturvedi
Mix together 1 cup of milk powder and 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour.
Add 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda and a pinch of cardamom powder.
Slowly pour in 1/4 cup of milk to form a dough.
Knead the dough until smooth, then divide it into small balls. Heat oil or ghee in a pan over low heat.
Fry the dough balls until golden brown, then drain excess oil.
In a separate saucepan, combine 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water to make syrup.
Bring the syrup to a boil, then simmer for 5 minutes. Add a few drops of rose water to the syrup.
Drop the fried dough balls into the syrup and let them soak for at least 30 minutes.
Serve warm or at room temperature, garnished with chopped nuts if desired.
