Easy Punjabi-Style Hariyali Chicken Recipe

Punjabi-style hariyali chicken is a wholesome meal when paired with roti or paratha. Here's a look at its recipe.

Ginger (chopped) 1 tbsp Cashew nuts 1/2 cup Garam masala 1/2 tsp Curd 1/2 cup Lemon juice 1 tbsp Garlic cloves (chopped) 5 Haldi 1/2 tsp Onion (chopped) 1 Ghee 1 tbsp Fresh cream 1/4 cup Salt (according to the taste)

Step 1

Wash the chicken pieces in a bowl. Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, lemon juice, yogurt, salt, and chicken pieces. Mix well and keep aside for 30 mins.

Now, add spinach leaves, coriander leaves, mint, green chillies, cashew nuts, ginger, garam masala, haldi and 1 tbsp of water in a blender.

Blend everything to form a smooth paste.

To make the curry, heat ghee in a pan. Add onions and saute until they become golden brown in colour.

Now, add the prepared paste and cook for around 2-3 minutes.

Add the marinated chicken pieces and mix well. Cover the pan and allow it to cook for 15-20 minutes.

Once done, pour in fresh cream and mix everything well.

Cook on low flame for another 5 mins. Punjabi-style hariyali chicken is ready!
