Easy South Indian Rava Upma Recipe

Ingredients: Semolina (rava), oil or ghee, mustard seeds, urad dal, chana dal, chopped onion, green chilies, 

Ingredients: grated ginger, curry leaves, water, salt, lemon juice, and fresh coriander. 

Dry roast rava until golden. Set aside. Heat oil or ghee in a pan.

Add mustard seeds. Let them splutter. Add urad dal, chana dal. Fry until golden

Add chopped onions, green chilies, ginger, and curry leaves. Sauté until onions turn soft.

Pour in water and salt. Bring to a boil.  Gradually add rava, stirring continuously.

Cook until water is absorbed and upma is fluffy. Stir in lemon juice. Garnish with coriander. Serve hot.
