Easy Stuffed Paneer Onion Paratha Recipe

   Ingredients for the paratha    1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour    1/4 tsp turmeric powder    1/4 tsp red chilli powder    1 tsp black sesame seeds    Salt to taste    1 tsp oil    2 tbsp finely chopped coriander    Whole wheat flour for rolling    3 tsp butter for cooking

   Ingredients for the stuffing    1 1/2 cups thickly grated paneer    1/2 cup finely chopped onions    1 tsp finely chopped green chillies    1/4 tsp turmeric powder    1/4 tsp garam masala    1 tsp chaat masala    2 tbsp finely chopped coriander    Salt to taste

To make paneer onion stuffed paratha recipe, divide the stuffing into 6 equal portions.

Combine the wheat flour, turmeric powder, chilli powder, black sesame seeds, salt, oil and coriander.

Mix well and knead into a soft dough using ¾ cup water. Divide the dough and the stuffing into 6 equal portions and keep aside.

Roll a portion of the dough into a 4” diameter circle using a little wheat flour for rolling.

Place a portion of the stuffing in the centre, fold the edges towards the centre and press well so that the stuffing doesn’t spill out.

Roll it again into 6” diameter circle using a little wheat flour for rolling.

Heat a non-stick tava and cook the paratha, using ½ tsp of butter, till golden brown spots appear on both the sides.

Repeat the above steps to make 5 more paneer onion parathas. Serve them hot with chutney, ketchup, or curd.
