Since Arvind Kejriwal's arrest by the ED on March 21, for alleged excise policy scam, Sunita Kejriwal has garnered attention.
Sunita Kejriwal is an Indian Revenue Services (IRS) officer of the 1994 batch. She served in the Income Tax (I-T) department for 22 years.
Her encounter with Arvind Kejriwal, also an IRS officer, from the 1995 batch, occurred during a training session in Bhopal.
In 2016, she opted for voluntary retirement from the I-T department.
Her final assignment was as a Commissioner of I-T at the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT) in Delhi.
Regarding her academic background, she is said to hold a master's degree in Zoology.
