From BJP to Congress, parties have begun campaigning soon after Election Commission of India's (ECI) announcement of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 schedule.
With 543 Lok Sabha seats in play, parties are vying for the support of approximately 970 million eligible voters. Here are the top 5 states with the most Lok Sabha seats.
Uttar Pradesh, with 80 Lok Sabha seats, will conduct voting across seven phases.
Maharashtra, with 48 seats, will hold voting over five phases.
West Bengal, with 42 Lok Sabha seats, will conduct voting over seven phases.
Bihar, with 40 Lok Sabha seats, will hold voting across seven phases.
Tamil Nadu will vote on April 19 for 39 Lok Sabha seats.
The counting of votes will be done on June 4.
