1. Carrots: They are rich in beta-carotene,  a type of vitamin A that plays a crucial  role in maintaining healthy eyes. It helps protect the surface of the eye and can reduce the risk of eye infections. It also contributes to the production of rhodopsin, a pigment that aids in low-light vision. Snack on raw carrots or put them into  your salads for a vitamin A boost

Spinach: It is loaded with lutein  and zeaxanthin, antioxidants that  protect the eyes from harmful high-energy light waves like ultraviolet rays. These  also help reduce the risk of cataracts  and age-related macular degeneration. Include spinach in your diet through smoothies, sautés, or as a salad base

Blueberries: These are packed with antioxidants and vitamin C. The antioxidants in blueberries protect the retina from oxidative damage and reduce the risk of eye conditions. Vitamin C supports the blood vessels in your eyes and may lower the risk of cataracts. Enjoy blueberries as a snack, in your morning oatmeal, or as a topping for yoghurt

Almonds: Almonds are a fantastic source  of vitamin E, which can help delay age-related eye damage. This vitamin also plays a role in protecting the eyes from harmful free radicals. A handful of almonds a day can provide a healthy dose of vitamin E, making it a simple yet effective addition to your diet for better eyesight

Salmon: Fatty fish like salmon are rich  in omega-3 fatty acids, particularly DHA (docosahexaenoic acid). DHA is an  essential component of the retina and  can help maintain proper vision. Consuming salmon regularly can reduce  the risk of dry eyes and age-related macular degeneration. Bake, grill, or broil salmon for a delicious and eye-healthy meal

Eggs: They are a versatile source of  two essential eye nutrients: lutein and zeaxanthin. They protect the eyes by absorbing harmful UV light and neutralising free radicals. Eggs are also rich in vitamin B12, which can help prevent age-related vision problems. Incorporate eggs into your diet by preparing omelets, scrambled eggs, or simply hard-boiled eggs as a snack
